Editing

Let customers fix their own order

Wrong address, wrong size, forgot to add something. Editing lets the customer fix it themselves before the parcel leaves, instead of opening a ticket and stalling your shipment.

Changes without a support ticket

Most post-purchase support messages are small edit requests: an address typed wrong, the wrong size selected, a change of mind. The portal lets the customer make the change themselves, so the ticket never exists instead of bouncing between teams.

A correct address means delivery

A parcel returned for a bad address costs you twice, outbound and inbound, plus an order that is delayed or cancelled outright. Fixing the address before the parcel leaves is cheaper than any handling after it, and faster for your customer too.

Add an item before it ships

Editing is not always subtraction. A customer who opened the order to change a size can add a second piece to the same parcel and pay the difference, which lifts average order value at no extra shipping cost to you.

An edit window you define

You decide when the window closes: an hour after the order, when the shipping label is created, or when the parcel leaves the warehouse. Once it closes, the order moves automatically onto the returns path instead.

The warehouse sees it instantly

The edit lands on the order in your store immediately, so the packing team never works from stale data. No handwritten correction on a picking slip, no message in an internal group that gets buried under a hundred others.

Frequently asked questions

Up to the point you define, usually before the shipping label is created or before the parcel leaves the warehouse. After that the window closes automatically.

Yes, if you enable self-serve cancellation inside the edit window. You can also limit it to specific cases or turn it off completely.

If the order grows, the customer pays the difference in the portal. If it shrinks, the settlement follows your policy, either store credit or a refund to the original payment method.

No. Every edit is logged with its time and its source, so you keep the original version of the order and a clear record of everything that changed.
